Espresso Martini Cocktail Recipe
Why try an Espresso Martini Cocktail?
If you like coffee, I urge you to try this coffee flavored cocktail…Espresso Martini Cocktail recipe! Don’t be scared off by the term martini. Technically it is not a martini. It doesn’t contain gin or vermouth. It is however, served in a traditional martini glass and is becoming just as iconic!
This cocktail is sweet, smooth and delicious! It is as if you combined your after-dinner coffee, liquor and dessert all in one. The best part is with my espresso martini cocktail recipe you can make it with decaf coffee, regular coffee or espresso coffee, it is up to what you like.
What you need to make this Cocktail
The very first thing I feel everyone that makes a cocktail should have is a good cocktail shaker! I am in LOVE with this one from Amazon. https://amzn.to/3NUNgKq It is made by Elevated Craft. It is double insulated and has a screw top! No more ruined manicures! It is the only shaker I will use!
After you have your favorite cocktail shaker out, fill it halfway with ice. Pour all the ingredients for this espresso martini cocktail in the shaker. Now this is where I tweak my recipe from other places. I use my leftover coffee from the morning, which happens to be decaf. At 51 I don’t need anything keeping me from falling asleep! You can use regular coffee, or espresso, any and all work beautifully. I also use Kahlua, but you can use any coffee-based liquor. Once you have decided on those things, it is time to mix things up. Shake well to fully chill and mix everything together. Pour your espresso martini in a well-chilled martini glass. I love this set of four from Amazon. Here is my affiliated link. https://amzn.to/3r77PtZ They have a nice base and are large enough to hold this espresso cocktail.
What snack to serve with this espresso martini cocktail?
Although this is a sweet cocktail and can stand all on its own…what kind of host doesn’t offer a snack to go with a cocktail? I personally would pair this cocktail with my warm spinach artichoke dip Warm Spinach Artichoke Dip served with warm bread for dipping and forget about it! Sit down, relax and enjoy yourself!
I would love to know what you think of this recipe. What did you do to make it your own? Did you use coffee? Are you not a coffee fan, try substituting cooled hot chocolate!
