Ingredients in a Classic Bloody Mary Recipe
The Classic Bloody Mary recipe has thousands of variations, so the list of ingredients varies based on who’s making it and what you enjoy. The base ingredients are Vodka, Tomato Juice, and lemon/lime juice. The variations really come once you start spicing your Bloody Mary up! You can add Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce, celery salt, A1 Steak sauce, pepper, Tajin, the list goes on and on. We haven’t even touched on the garnishing! But don’t get overwhelmed! Remember, this is your drink. Add as much or as little as you want!
The recipe below is a recipe that my brother makes. I first had it when we were all vacationing together at the beach. I know, I know, everything tastes better at the beach! But I have made this at home for myself and it still hits all the right notes!
I will say every time I make this Classic Bloody Mary Recipe for myself…. I am taken back to this one being served to me on the beach by my brother, Doug, who is the creator of this specific recipe!
Serve this Classic Cocktail COLD!!
I’ve said before and I will continue to say it. I love cocktails cold, like really chilled! When you are at home and have access to all your usual glasses and ice, it isn’t that hard. But when you at tailgating, or hosting a large group, or in my case, at the beach, it becomes a bit more difficult. This is where these cups from Amazon come in. They are Ball Aluminum Recyclable Cups. They come in a ton of sizes and amounts. Here is my Amazon Affiliate link to them. https://amzn.to/3se2SzY Once again, my brother Doug introduced me to these cups as well. He served me his Classic Bloody Mary drink in the hot Florida sun and my Bloody Mary was ice cold!! And stayed that way while I enjoyed it in my beach chair!
What to serve with a Classic Bloody Mary Drink?
What do you serve to eat with a Bloody Mary? Well, in my opinion a BLT! There is something about the salty bacon, zesty tomato with the crunch of thick toasted bread that just has me reaching for my Bloody Mary drink! My friend, Brad, shared his garden fresh tomatos with me this week and my first thought was, bring on the BLT’s! Plus a piece, or two of bacon is an awesome garnish in a Bloody Mary!
