I don’t know about you- but I have seen many an eye roll from a bartender when I’ve ordered a mojito. So, it got me thinking…how hard is this cocktail to make. After doing some research, yes individually a mojito drink can be labor intensive. That is why this Mojito Pitcher Recipe is so nice! An added bonus is you can make it ahead and let it chill in the refrigerator!
The ingredients are simple, and steps are even easier. Get yourself a pitcher, cut 5 limes into quarters, a large handful of mint leaves, a little over 1/2 cup of sugar. Put this in the refrigerator until the sugar dissolves or you are ready to serve. Once you are ready to enjoy this fresh cocktail pour a liter of club soda in the pitcher. If you like to mix it up a bit, there are many different flavors to add to this Mojito Pitcher Recipe. Want a Strawberry Mojito, muddle 1-pint strawberries for a fruity variation. Equipment
- 1 pitcher
- 1 muddler
Ingredients
- 5 limes quartered
- 30-35 fresh mint leaves
- 1/2 c plus, 2Tbs granulated sugar
- 1 c white rum
- 1 liter Club Soda
Instructions
- In a large pitcher muddle limes, mint and sugar. Muddle until everything is wet, and sugar begins to dissolve. Add the rum and stir to fully dissolve the sugar. Chill. I have even chilled it overnight.When ready to serve, add the club soda to the pitcher and into a tall glass filled with ice. Garnish with a fresh mint and a lime wedge.
